I have been actively involved in music practically my entire life, whether it be in the local church choir, a cappella quartets,
family gatherings, and so on.
My guitar roots started with a big old 6-string Harmony guitar, which later grew into playing bass guitar with Ray, mostly due to
the fact that he could not find a bass player who could sing.
We went the usual routes, different people being added to and subtracted from the core group, including drummers, singers,
harmonica players and guitar players, always trying to find the right musical path. But Ray and I always stuck together because we
always had the same outlook on music - to play what we were comfortable with and to have great harmonies, but most importantly
have fun and play, play, play.
This time around we decided to go it alone as a duo and I do believe we have made the right decision.
The name "Dawg Fish" was derived from two sources - both Ray and I are both owned by two dogs each, who even let us reside with
them and we both enjoy fishing a lot, hence the name "Dawg Fish".
Post note on above, our Beloved Sparkie dog passed over the "Rainbow
Bridge" in April, 2007, joining Ray's terrific dog Lincoln, they are running
pain-free together on the other side of the bridge.
Happy news, we welcomed Roxie Mae our beautiful kitten in August, 2007.
And to complete our family Emmitt our new handsome cocker spaniel joined us
just in time for Christmas 2007. Katie is so happy to have new
playmates again. Our furry family is again whole, thanks guys.

Having played with area bands since the late 60's, music has been a large part of my life. My personal tastes and musical
interests have grown into a definite shape over these many years and it is often hard
since Randy and I have worked together musically for the past 25 years, we have a musical connection that almost does
not require words.
Along the way we have had several bands with anywhere from 3 to 6 members, but no other musician has ever
had the connection that Randy and I have. Feeling the urge to get back into music publicly I was happy to hear band-mate Randy had the same musical desire.
With 6 and 12 string guitars, banjo, harmonica and vocals, we formed "Dawg
Fish" with the intent of playing the music " You Grew Up With". For both
Randy and I this has been a great deal of fun and the positive response has
made this most rewarding.
